I went and saw (gasp) The Golden Compass the other night.
My youth pastor said said it best... "If you're worried about losing your faith by watching this, you never had it."
And the best part of the movie was the preview on the new Narina flick.
Seriously, there's a reason why this thing tanked in it's opening weekend... it's a blah movie.
I spent half of it trying to figure out how the dots connected and the half trying to figure out "why?" and what has this to do with being an atheist?
It's not like the world is upside down where good is evil and evil is good. It's more like everything is gray. Maybe that's the point.
I will say this, the one on one fist fight with the bears was sweet! The "good" bear took the other bear's jaw clean off his face! What the?! -I didn't see that coming!
All in all I give a -2, a waste of 8 bucks I could have used to see I Am Legend. The story was slow, and the previews were honestly better.
Hopefully they won't make the 2nd, or the 3rd (rumor is they won't)
But Prince Caspian... Oh Baby! Lord of the Rings, eat your heart out!
Get your loud on!
